Gear that actually fits a small apartment.

Most storage and appliance advice is written for houses. This site is written for the closet that is 28 inches wide, the kitchen with 30 inches of counter, and the lease that says nothing gets screwed into a wall. Every recommendation starts from a measured dimension and a load path, not a vibe.

How this site works

  • Specs before opinions. Shelf deflection, compressor sizing, cubic-foot-to-footprint ratios and rated loads come from manufacturer documentation, and the document is named.
  • Personal experience is labelled as such. First person is used only for products actually lived with. Everything else says plainly that it is spec analysis and aggregated owner reports.
  • Affiliate links are disclosed above the link, not in the footer. See the disclosure policy.

One email when something is actually worth the square footage.

Occasional notes on small-apartment gear that survives a real 500 sq ft. No daily deals, no list rental, unsubscribe in one click.

Signup is not connected yet. Set PUBLIC_EMAIL_FORM_ACTION to the mailing-list endpoint and this becomes a live form. It is left visibly inert rather than live-but-broken, so no address is ever collected and lost.
